Terms of Service
Effective 1 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-01
These terms are an agreement between you and Aller Consulting Pty Ltd for use of Consulting Console. By creating an account, accepting an invitation or using the service, you agree to them. If you use Consulting Console for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf, and "you" includes that organisation.
1. The service
Consulting Console is software for recording time, managing clients and projects, preparing client invoices and external consultant bills, tracking project margin and referral fees, and syncing records with Xero. It is provided by Aller Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 32 666 456 613). It is a business tool: it does not give accounting, tax, legal or financial advice.
2. Accounts and workspaces
- You must give accurate details, keep your password secure and tell us promptly at support@consultingconsole.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
- An organisation workspace belongs to the organisation that created it. The workspace owner controls who is invited, what roles they have and whether the workspace is deleted, and is responsible for the people it invites.
- Consultants invited into an organisation workspace see only what that organisation allows. A consultant's own personal workspace is separate and belongs to the consultant.
- You must be at least 18 and using the service for business purposes.
3. Plans, fees and GST
- Plan features and prices are shown on our pricing page and in the app at the time you subscribe.
- Prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST. GST is added where it applies. We will issue tax invoices through Stripe.
- Organisation plans include the number of internal users (owners, admins and employees) shown on the pricing page. External consultants invited on Teams Plus are free and do not count. If you add internal users beyond the included number, each additional user is added to your subscription at the additional-user price shown on the pricing page, prorated for the rest of the billing period, and removed (with a prorated credit) when you remove the user or change them to an external consultant. You will be asked to confirm before an additional-user charge is added.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep paid features until then.
- Fees already paid are not refundable for partial periods, except where required by law or where we terminate without cause under section 11.
- We may change prices or plan features. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a change affects your subscription, and the change applies from your next renewal. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
- If a payment fails, we will tell you and may downgrade the workspace to the free plan if it is not resolved within 14 days. Your data is not deleted because of a failed payment.
4. Free plans
Free plans have the limits shown on the pricing page. We may change free plan limits with at least 30 days' notice. If a change means you exceed a limit, your existing records stay accessible and exportable.
5. Your data
- You own the data you and your users put into Consulting Console ("Customer Data").
- You grant us a licence to host, copy, process and display Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure and support the service, and as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of Customer Data, and for having the right to give us any personal information about your clients, staff, external consultants and referrers, including giving them any notice the Privacy Act 1988 requires.
- We will not sell Customer Data, use it to train AI models, or access it except to provide support you request, maintain security, or comply with law.
- What happens to Customer Data when you delete a workspace is set out in our Data Retention & Deletion policy.
6. Calculations and your review
Consulting Console calculates totals, margins, GST amounts, referral fees and invoice numbers from the rates, settings and time you enter. You are responsible for checking invoices, bills and fees before you approve or send them, including in Xero. Invoices and bills are sent to Xero as drafts so your finance team can review them first.
7. Xero and other third-party services
Xero, Stripe and Google are independent services with their own terms. When you connect Xero, you authorise us to create and read the records you choose to sync. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes they make that affect the integration, but we will make reasonable efforts to keep integrations working. Xero is a trademark of Xero Limited; Consulting Console is not affiliated with, endorsed or certified by Xero.
8. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend access that breaches it, as described in section 11.
9. Availability, support and changes
- We aim to keep Consulting Console available and to fix problems promptly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and do not offer a service level agreement on current plans.
- Support is by email at support@consultingconsole.app during Australian business hours.
- We may improve or change features. If we remove a material paid feature, we will give at least 30 days' notice and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the remaining period.
- You are responsible for keeping your own copies of records you need, for example by exporting invoices and bills or keeping them in Xero.
10. Confidentiality and security
Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only for the purposes of this agreement. We protect Customer Data using the measures described on our Security page and in our Privacy Policy.
11. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using the service and delete your workspace at any time from settings (after cancelling any active subscription).
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms and do not fix the breach within 14 days of notice, or immediately if the breach creates a security risk, involves unlawful activity or could harm other customers.
- We may stop providing the service to you for any other reason on at least 60 days' notice, and will refund any prepaid fees for the period after termination.
- On termination, you will have at least 30 days to export Customer Data (unless termination is for unlawful activity), after which it is deleted as described in our Data Retention & Deletion policy.
12. Consumer law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited ("Non-excludable Rights"). Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a breach of a Non-excludable Right, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
13. Liability
- Subject to section 12, and to the extent permitted by law, each party's total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid or were payable to us in that period (or AUD 100 if you are on a free plan).
- Subject to section 12, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, except to the extent caused by that party's breach of confidentiality, fraud, wilful misconduct, or (for us) breach of our data security obligations.
- The limits in this section do not apply to your obligation to pay fees, or to liability that cannot be limited by law.
- Each party's liability is reduced to the extent the other party caused or contributed to the loss.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect and we will refund any prepaid fees for the period after cancellation. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
15. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and each party submits to the courts of that State.
- We may send notices to the email address on your account. You may send notices to support@consultingconsole.app.
- Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them to a successor to the business on notice to you.
- These terms, together with the policies linked here, are the entire agreement about Consulting Console.
